What’s new
Real shipped changes, in the order they went live. New firms are added to the directory continuously between releases.
13 September 2026
Bristol joins the map
- The eighteenth city and the sixth in the UK regional plan: Bristol is the professional-services capital of the South West, with a boutique scene built on consulting, engineering-adjacent advisory and owner-managed deal work - every firm checked by hand, honest counts, no padding.
- Priced like the other regional cities: £10 a month for the whole city, £20 for a three-month Season Pass, and the UK Regions plan now covers Birmingham, Manchester, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds and Bristol together.
13 September 2026
Madrid joins the map
- The seventeenth city and the third priced in euros: over 1,000 verified Madrid firms across all six industries, from the M&A boutiques off the Castellana to the venture funds and value-investing houses of Salamanca.
- Checked by hand like every other city, and most firms launch with a written profile and a named contact where the firm publishes one.
10 September 2026
Leeds joins the map
- The sixteenth city and the fifth in the UK regional plan: Leeds is the biggest legal and professional-services centre in England outside London, and its boutique scene is mapped the same way as everywhere else - every firm checked by hand, honest counts, no padding.
- Priced like the other regional cities: £10 a month for the whole city, £20 for a three-month Season Pass, and the UK Regions plan now covers Birmingham, Manchester, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Leeds together.
10 September 2026
Paris joins the map
- The fifteenth city and the deepest boutique market in continental Europe: over 2,000 verified Paris firms across all six industries, from the M&A boutiques of the 8th arrondissement to Europe’s largest venture ecosystem outside London.
- Priced in euros like Frankfurt, checked by hand like every other city, and most firms launch with a written profile and a named contact where the firm publishes one.
9 September 2026
Sydney, Glasgow and Frankfurt join the map
- Three launches at once: Sydney is the first Australian city (priced in Australian dollars), Frankfurt the first in the euro area, and Glasgow joins Birmingham, Manchester and Edinburgh in the UK regional plan - all four regional cities together for £20 a month.
- Every firm was checked by hand against its own website or LinkedIn before launch, and most launched with a written profile, a named contact where the firm publishes one, and a careers link collected straight from the firm’s site.
27 August 2026
San Francisco joins the map
- FirmScope’s eleventh city, and the deepest venture market in the database: 2,600+ verified San Francisco firms across all six industries, including over 1,100 venture capital funds alone - micro-funds, seed specialists and solo GPs most lists never reach.
- Every firm checked by hand against its own website or LinkedIn, the same standard as every other city. Priced in US dollars, same plans as New York and Boston.
21 August 2026
Regional pricing for the UK cities
- Birmingham, Manchester and Edinburgh are priced like the smaller markets they are: £10 a month unlocks a whole city - all six verticals, every firm, every link - instead of the £24.99 the big cities cost. There is no Starter tier in regional cities; the whole city is the plan.
- UK Regions: £20 a month unlocks all three regional cities together, for anyone hunting across the Midlands, the North and Scotland at once.
- Season Passes to match: £20 for three months of one regional city, £40 for three months of all three. One payment, never renews.
- London is unchanged. The all-cities add-on still covers everything, and regional subscribers see the honest difference (+£24.99) rather than a flat step.
21 August 2026
Boston, Toronto, Birmingham, Manchester and Edinburgh join the map
- 5 new cities at once: Boston, Toronto, Birmingham, Manchester and Edinburgh. Every firm checked by hand against its own website or LinkedIn, same standard as every other city - the smaller UK cities are genuinely small markets, and the counts say so honestly rather than padding them.
- The city control in the directory header is now a dropdown - ten pills stopped fitting anywhere - and every count, filter and page still follows the city you pick.
- Named contacts from day one wherever a firm publishes a person or an inbox, labelled by how it was sourced.
- Priced locally: Toronto in Canadian dollars (Starter C$27, Pro C$41), Boston in US dollars, and the UK cities in pounds, same as London. Plans stay per city - or add every city for one step up on the Pro card.
- Six public directory pages plus a launch page for each city, all on the coverage map.
13 August 2026
Dubai joins the map
- FirmScope’s fifth city: 1,500+ verified Dubai firms across all six industries - boutique investment banks, consultancies, VC funds, asset managers, corporate law firms and PE houses. Every firm checked by hand against its own website or LinkedIn, and the business-setup shops that clutter Dubai searches kept out.
- The city control in the directory header now switches between all five cities, and every count, filter and page follows.
- Named contacts from day one: where a Dubai firm publishes a person or an inbox, the directory carries it, labelled by how it was sourced.
- Priced in UAE dirhams: Starter is one Dubai industry for AED 75 a month, Pro is all six for AED 109. Plans stay per city - existing subscribers keep exactly what they had.

- FirmScope’s second city: 4,700+ verified New York firms across all six industries - boutique investment banks, consultancies, VC funds, asset managers, corporate law firms and PE houses. Every firm checked by hand against its own website or LinkedIn, same standard as London.
- A city control in the directory header switches the whole app between London and New York, and every count, filter and page follows.

- Plans are now per city, priced in your currency: Starter is one industry in your chosen city (£14.99 or $19.99 a month), Pro is all six industries in that city (£24.99 or $29.99). Everyone subscribed before today keeps exactly what they had - their plan simply covers London, the city it was bought for.
- Six public New York directory pages plus a launch page at /new-york, and a new coverage page listing every city, live and upcoming.
30 July 2026
Named contacts across the directory
- Firm profiles, the directory table and the preview panel now show a named contact or a working inbox wherever the firm publishes one. Over 1,700 firms carry contact details today, including 1,100+ direct email addresses.
- Every contact is labelled with how it was sourced: a verified person confirmed on the firm’s own site, a published general inbox, or pattern-based.
- 155 firms whose websites have gone dark were removed from the directory. Every listing is checked both ways: firms are verified before they join the list, and delisted when they stop being real.
30 July 2026
144 more London investment banks
- The investment banking directory grew to 500+ website-verified boutiques, from Mayfair M&A shops to specialist debt and restructuring houses - the largest verified directory of London boutique investment banks anywhere.
- Every new firm was checked by hand against its live website before joining the list.
24 July 2026
Public London directories, annual Pro, and the Season Pass
- Six public directory pages, one per vertical, plus a London hub - live counts straight from the database and a 25-firm sample of each list, for anyone to browse before signing up.
- Pro Annual: a year of Pro for £149, two months cheaper than paying monthly.
- Season Pass: three months of full Pro for one £49.99 payment, built to cover an application season. It never auto-renews - when it ends, access stops and everything you saved is preserved.
21 July 2026
200 outreach templates
- A tier-gated template library with 200 outreach emails, filterable by vertical and scenario. Starter unlocks the core set; Pro unlocks everything.
- "Open in email app" pre-fills the template with your tracking address on BCC, so every send logs itself in the Outreach Log.
- Fixed the "link is invalid" dead ends on email verification: fresh links on every resend, a resend cooldown, and clearer recovery copy at login.
20 July 2026
Email sync, a setup guide, and shortlist export
- Email sync: BCC your private tracking address on any cold email and it logs itself in the Outreach Log; forward the reply and the entry flips to Replied.
- A three-step setup guide on the Outreach Log gets new users from zero to first tracked email in about two minutes.
- CSV export now exports your saved shortlist with pipeline stages and save dates - built for working your target list. Everyone subscribed before 21 July keeps the full-database export they signed up with.
10 July 2026
Private Equity joins the directory
- 149 website-verified London private equity firms, strategy-tagged from buyout to secondaries.
- FirmScope now covers six verticals: investment banking, consulting, venture capital, asset management, corporate law and private equity.

The research-terminal update
- Table view for every directory, alongside cards, with sorting by name or recently added.
- Firm preview panel: open any firm in a slide-over without losing your place in the list.

10 July 2026
Three plans, a pipeline, and a proper mobile app feel
- New pricing: Free (fixed cross-vertical sample), Starter at £14.99 for one vertical of your choice, Pro at £24.99 for everything. Existing subscribers kept their plans unchanged.
- Saved Firms became a pipeline board: Saved, Contacted, Replied, Meeting, with drag and drop.
- Pause your subscription for 1-3 months instead of cancelling; everything is preserved.
